Homework Week of 9/3-9/6
I hope everyone had a nice extended vacation! Welcome back. We are going to work in some homework this week. Here's what to expect:
- Student Council Elections are Friday. If your child would like to run, he/she needs to prepare a speech (why should students vote for them?) for Friday and design a poster to hang in the classroom with a picture and slogan. If elected, student council reps meet on Tuesday mornings from 8-8:25 in Mr. Schmitt's classroom, starting next week.
- Instrument Forms due Friday. If your child is interested in playing an instrument, please sign and return the necessary paperwork.
- Math due Friday. Friday seems to be the lucky day that everything is due! Math typically goes home on Mondays (due Wednesday) and again on Wednesday (due Friday) so students have two nights to complete each assignment. Students' first assignment will go home tomorrow.
- Please remember to turn in your child's paperwork! Students can't use chrome books until the Google form was signed and returned.

Welcome 2019-2020 Fourth Graders and Families!
I can't believe it is mid-August and summer vacation is coming to an end. School begins on Monday, August 26th. While I have met many of the new faces in our class from Step Up day in June, there is a "Meet and Greet" on Friday, August 23rd from 2-3pm for any students and families that would like to come check out our classroom space and meet the teacher.
A general fourth grade supply list went home in June with report cards and is available on our school website. A few of you have reached out to ask if there are more class-specific supplies needed. I've included the general supply list below, with some additional "Would Be Nice to Have" items. I am happy to supply anything that your family cannot take care of.
